Lockerbie String Quartet

Performance in Capitol Rotunda

Founded in 1982 by violist Donna Lively Clark, the Lockerbie String Quartet is one of the premier string quartets based in Indiana. In addition to the commitment of these four musicians to perform the classical string quartet literature, this well-rehearsed string quartet has extensive experience playing for hundreds of weddings. Choosing from our broad repertoire, our brides have been escorted down the aisle to processionals ranging from Pachelbel Kanon in D to Michael Jacksonʼs “The Way You Make Me Feel”. Check out our client reviews (found on the Lockerbie String Quartet page) and our music demos (on the CD page) to see for yourself that we can offer you the best string quartet wedding music in Indiana.

The Viola School

The mission of The Viola School is to provide the best possible technical, musical and artistic training to violists of all levels and ages, to offer recital experience, and to foster a string community through our mutual connection to the viola. Artist teacher, Donna Lively Clark, is director of the school and has taught private viola lessons since the early 1970ʻs.  One of her specialities is the ergonomics of a tension-free approach to the instrument.  Ms. Clark has been engaged to teach master classes, viola sectionals, pedagogy workshops and chamber music throughout the United States and internationally in Haiti and Argentina. Her students continue her legacy across America as middle and high school string teachers, university viola professors and members of professional symphony orchestras.
